This is for an existing position that is currently budgeted for Senior Appraiser Step E for the 2023-24 Fiscal Year. Therefore, there is no negative impact to the General Fund.
Background Information:
The candidate exceeds all educational requirements for the position. During their time as Project Manager with Tehama County Resource Conservation District, and as a Supervising Accountant with Shasta County the applicant demonstrated an assessment knowledge beyond entry level employment. This candidate was the unanimous choice of the interview panel which consisted of five real property tax appraisers. The candidate meets all State Board of Equalization appraiser certification requirements for employment with the County.
