Background Information:

The Board has approved an allocation of $250,000 to the Sky View County Water District for their upgrade project. On 12/13/22, the Board approved a payment to Sky View in the amount of $4,997 for engineering expenses incurred for the application to the Department of Water Resources Small Community Drought Relief Program in which they were awarded $5,015,700.This request is to enable Sky View to pay Frontier Communications to remove 873 feet of overhead cables and three (3) associated joint poles that are located at the Ponderosa Tank Site. The cables would interfere with the planned improvements, mainly the construction of the new storage tank. Frontier will relocate the overhead cables along Ponderosa Way and around the tank site. The project funded by the DWR Small Community Drought Relief Program has been awarded to a contractor who is planning to start construction towards the end of February when weather conditions improve. The contractor will be working on paperwork and administrative aspects of the project through the winter so that they can start procuring long lead time items for construction.
