Financial Impact:
The annual base salary for a full time Step D is $42,348.80, a $5761.60 increase over that of a Step A. The Department has sufficient 2023/2024 fiscal year funding budgeted for appointment at Step D.
Background Information:
The candidate possesses ample experience in the construction, tree removal, and heavy equipment operator fields, including concrete, framing, tree removal, and equipment maintenance and operation, making him an ideal candidate for this position. This experience exceeds that of an entry level employee. The candidate is considered the second highest-ranking candidate and has agreed to employment at the negotiated rate within the Tehama County pay scale. The Department would like to capitalize on the opportunity to appoint a highly qualified candidate such as this.
