a) Request approval and authorization to establish a Cash Change Fund in the amount of $200 for the purpose of making change for cash transactions to customers who pay for grading and encroachment permits or map checks

Financial Impact:
$200 to establish the Cash Change Fund will be paid from an account in Fund 102 that will be established by the Auditor upon approval of this action.
Background Information:
The Department of Public Works still has several customers who prefer to pay for their permits in cash and we do not have the ability to make change for those customers who pay with large bills versus exact change. Our permits are not whole dollar amounts and often require a fair amount of change. The Department does have a pay by credit card option for these permits, however we would like to be able to servce all customers adequately and in a timely manner.
