Financial Impact:
This budget increase is necessary to reinstate budget appropriations to pay pending CDBG grant covered expenses.
Background Information:
On 4/16/19, the Board approved an agreement with Empower Tehama for the purpose of using their Homeless Emergency Aid Program (HEAP) grant to reimburse the County for some costs associated with the Homeless Navigation Center Project. In FY 2018/19 and FY 2020/21, Empower Tehama reimbursed a total of $85,178.23 for costs associated with architectural design, grant administration and legal noticing. The revenue was received, however a corresponding increase to the expenditure budget was not made. This action is to reinstate budget appropriations that are tied to various CDBG grants awarded to the County.
