body

Financial Impact:

These proposed transfers are from prior year revenue assigned for departments (101-301355). There is no net financial impact to the general fund, a funding source is provided.

Background Information:

These transfers will be used to purchase a Kyocera TASKalfa 5004i copier for the Assessor’s office and a Kyocera TASKalfa 5054ci copier for the Tax Collector’s office. Both the Assessor and Tax Collector copy machines are past end of life. Both OEM and aftermarket replacement parts are no longer available. The current copier in the Tax Collector’s office was recently returned to basic functionality by a Kyocera technician with adhesives. We were advised that this was a temporary solution, and the copier would likely become inoperative within six months. These budget transfers will enable the Tax Collector’s office and the Assessor’s office to purchase the copiers outright, saving the county from financing costs at an approximate interest rate of 8.5% over 60-month terms.
