Background Information:
On June 20, 2024, Planning Commission with a 4 to 1 vote to accept/approve the immediate partial cancellation and non-renewal of a 3.1+/- acre portion of Williamson Act Contract No. 244 containing APN: 037-200-005.
On December 4, 2023, the owner of said property filled out a Partial Williamson Act Non-renewal application for 3.1 acres of Williamson Act Contract #244, which is a portion of APN: 037-200-005 that totals approximately 34.63 acres.
The property is currently zoned AG-2; Agriculture/Valley District (40-acre min. parcel size with Contract). The 34.63 acres within Williamson Act Contract #244 is currently used for agricultural activities. The owner of the site is requesting the Non-renewal to allow the 3.1 acres of land to be purchased by the Tehama County Department of Education/ Gerber Union School Elementary School District. The State Department of Conservation was notified on December 28, 2023, and no comments have been received. Therefore, the request for a Partial Non-renewal has been approved as to Form.
