Financial Impact:

The Recommended Budget is Tehama County's core plan for serving its residents. It outlines the intended use of the County's financial resources, including the anticipated revenue sources and amounts.

Background Information:

California Government Code Section 29062 mandates the Recommended Budget's submission to the Board by June 30th annually. The Board holds the authority to modify or accept this budget, with potential staff adjustments returned by June 30th, 2025, to avoid noncompliance.

Significant budget revisions, particularly those involving fund balance carryover, will be integrated into the Adopted Budget. The Board of Supervisors has established a process to facilitate priority setting and develop recommendations for addressing county-wide needs.
