Requested Action(s)

recommendation

a)                     AGREEMENT - Request approval and authorization for the Executive Director to sign Amendment #1 with Remi Vista, Inc. (Misc. Agree # 2022-199) for the purpose of Medi-Cal Specialty Mental Health Services for eligible children, thereby amending the rates set forth in Exhibit B, with the maximum compensation not to exceed $1,300,000 through 6/30/24

body

Financial Impact:

Costs will be paid for with Mental Health Services Act funds and/or Mental Health realignment funds allocated for medically necessary services. The total maximum compensation amount is being increased by $92,161.

Background Information:

Remi Vista will provide mental health services to eligible children (aged 0-15) in Tehama County that meet medical necessity as defined by Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnosis, and Treatment (EPSDT) Medi-Cal Specialty Mental Health, as well as case-by-case uninsured or non-Medi-Cal eligible children. This increase will accommodate the necessary salary changes to recruit and retain staff in Tehama County as well as the increased operational cost. This amendment will also update the rates added in Exhibit B and update the department’s Provider Handbook in Exhibit D.

If the agreement is not approved, the Agency would need to look for another vendor to provide similar services for youth in need of specialized services. This could result in minors being placed at further distances and cause a disruption and delays for clients for much needed services.
