a) AGREEMENT - Request approval and authorization for the Chairman to sign the agreement with Shasta-Tehama-Trinity Joint Community College District for the purpose of providing the STEP-UP program in an amount not to exceed $30,000 annually, effective 7/1/24 and shall terminate on 6/30/25

Financial Impact:
This contract is budgeted in FY 24-25 Probation budget and will be paid for out of SB678 funds. There is no impact to the General Fund.
Background Information:
The STEP-UP program provides academic, logistical, and limited financial support for students who have been formally incarcerated and/or have suffered from alcohol or drug addiction. Every semester Probation averages ten to fifteen referrals to the STEP-UP program.
