Background Information:

SHIELD is a multi-agency training consortium that began in 2014 when a group of college and fire agency personnel came together to address the training needs of public safety personnel (volunteer and career) in the surrounding communities and counties.  The goal of this partnership was to pool the resources of the college and fire agencies involved in order to provide as much local training as possible at the lowest cost possible.

Prior Miscellaneous Agreement 2018-196 included multiple agencies and expired in 2023. The attached AGREEMENT FOR USE OF SHIELD REGIONAL TRAINING CENTER, effective 7/1/2024, is an individual endeavor between SHIELD and Tehama County Fire for use of SHIELD facilities for public safety training.
