No financial impact from this dedication. A sign may be placed at the ballfield with funds remaining from the grant, as budget allows.
Background Information:
During the course of the Mill Creek Park Ballfield Lights Project, it was suggested by the Parks Commissioner for Mill Creek Park, among others, that the County name this ballfield in honor of former Tehama County District 5 Supervisor Burt Bundy. Burt was a longtime advocate for the park and for Little League there. Burt and Joyce Bundy planted many of the park trees as far back as the 1970’s, among many other contributions to the community. Naming this ballfield for Burt Bundy is one way to honor his longtime legacy of work for Tehama County.
