Financial Impact:
This contract is included in the Probation budget for FY 2024-25 under Professional Services (53230). AB109 covers a portion of this contract annually and the remaining balance is funded by the General Fund.
Background Information:
Since July 1, 2012, the Probation Department has engaged Obsidian IT to provide technology infrastructure, maintenance, and support. Over the past twelve years, there has been an exponential growth in the need for IT support, driven by enhancements in our services and business practices. Probation’s needs have become more complex due to added reporting mandates from Federal and State agencies. This contract was reviewed by the County Information Systems Manager.
