AGREEMENT - Request approval and authorization for the Chairperson to sign the Agreement with the City of Corning for Animal Shelter Services, effective 7/1/24 through 6/30/29 (Requires 4/5’s vote)

Financial Impact:
The compensation for shelter services for the first year of the Agreement is approximately $45,778.35. Each year after, City shall pay to County an annual amount determined by using the agreed upon formula set forth in Section 3.A of the agreement.
Background Information:
This is a renewal of an existing agreement between the Tehama County Division of Animal Services and the City of Corning to provide animal shelter services.
The annual compensation amount is based upon human population percentages for the City of Corning and the County’s average net expenses for the animal care center for three preceding fiscal years.
