body
Financial Impact:
Costs of services will be paid with Mental Health realignment funds, Mental Health Services Act dollars, Federal Medicaid dollars, and/or AB109 funds.
Background Information:
This is a renewal agreement where the vendor provides temporary nursing personnel to the Department. These nursing positions are required for minimal staffing on the Mobile Crisis Team and the Tehama County Jail. Staffing shortages create a need to utilize the vendor's services for coverage of Department responsibilities. The Department has multiple nurse registry contracts for continued use of these critical temporary staff. The Health Services Agency continues to recruit to fill full time vacancies. If the agreement is not approved, the Health Services Agency would not have options to fill mandated shifts for Mobile Crisis and the Jail.
