Background Information:

Partnership HealthPlan is a non-profit community-based health care organization that contracts with the State of California through Department of Healthcare Services (DHCS) to administer Medi-Cal benefits through local care providers to ensure Medi-Cal recipients have access to comprehensive quality care. Plan covers assigned enrollees in twenty-four counties, which includes many rural communities. Offering care to members in rural areas across a large geographical area creates challenges, and Partnership HealthPlan is committed to providing its members with enough contracted providers to ensure quality care for each member. Partnership HealthPlan created the PRP to offer grants to contracted providers for recruiting and hiring individual providers who agree to join Partnership HealthPlan’s network and treat Members, as Partnership HealthPlan budget allows.
