body
Financial Impact:
The project is included in the current Jail maintenance budget.
Background Information:
This project is for the repair of safety padding in two cells located at the Tehama County Jail. If these repairs are not approved, the safety padding material may be further damaged by inmates housed in those cells.
The Board authorized this project on June 6, 2024, and no bids were received. There are few vendors nationwide that perform this very specialized work. Public Contract Code allows the County to then negotiate with a contractor, and staff has been working with an acceptable contractor to move the project ahead.
