Financial Impact:
The cost of the filing fee is $50 and is budgeted to Professional and Special Services, account #3011-53230. This project is 90% funded through Highway Safety Improvement Program funds and 10% funded with local Road Funds. There is no impact to the General Fund.
Background Information:
The 5 Intersections HSIP Project includes minor safety improvement to the intersection of South Ave and Rowles Rd, South Ave and Marguerite, South Ave and Woodson Ave, Finnel Ave and 99W, and Capay Rd and South 99W. Safety improvements include splitter islands, flashing beacons, slurry seal and upgraded pavement markings.
The installation of these improvements is exempt under CEQA 15301 (c) - Class 1 Categorical Exemption for the repair and maintenance of existing highways and streets.
This project is funded 90% by the Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) and 10% by local Road Funds.
