Financial Impact:
The cost of the filing fee is $50 and is budgeted to Professional and Special Services, account #3011-53230. This project is 90% funded through Highway Safety Improvement Program funds and 10% funded with local Road Funds. There is no impact to the General Fund.
Background Information:
The Gallagher Avenue HSIP Project includes minor safety improvements to the intersections of Gallagher Ave at Houghton Ave and Edith Ave. Safety improvements include conversion to all-way stop control, transverse rumble strips, flashing beacons, slurry seal and upgraded pavement markings.
The installation of these improvements is exempt under CEQA 15301 (c) - Class 1 Categorical Exemption for the repair and maintenance of existing highways and streets.
This project is funded 90% by the Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) and 10% by local Road Funds.
