Background Information:
The selected candidate for this position has over 27 years of extensive experience in Facilities Maintenance to include the following; Master Plumbing Certification, Commercial & Residential inspections, new construction, pump installation & rebuilds, framing & building walls, vast electrical repairs & new installation, concrete & asphalt repair & installation, heavy equipment operation to include; skid steer, excavator, backhoe, and loader, general residential & commercial building repairs, landscaping, painting, sheetrock install & repair, and extensive overall experience in general building repairs both residential & commercial. The candidate has intimate knowledge of the current plumbing & sewer system of the Tehama County jail facility. The candidate has built & repaired the jails current “muffin monster” septic system on several occasions and has vast experience with the jails electrical system. The candidate has worked for a local plumbing company for the last 26 years and has a good working relationship with the county and county employees.
The candidate’s training and experience exceeds the minimum qualifications of the classification and justifies placement at Range 25, step 5 within the Joint council bargaining unit (JC).
The Personnel Office has reviewed the candidate’s qualifications and is in agreement with placement at Salary Range 25, Step E, effective 6/30/24.
