Background Information:
During the Board of Supervisors meeting on July 23, 2024, consensus was reached to re-establish the Personnel Procedures and Guidelines Ad Hoc Committee. The goal of re-establishing the committee would be to revise and develop additional Personnel Rules.
At this time, the current Personnel Procedures and Guidelines committee members have served for approximately 3-4 years. Therefore, in order to ensure new Department Heads, as well as tenured Department Heads, have the same opportunities to provide their input, perspective, and expertise, the Personnel Director is requesting the Board of Supervisors abolish the current functional group representatives. Re-establishment of functional group representatives from Health and Human Services, Administration, Fiscal, Public Safety, and Land Development / Code / Regulatory may occur by appointment under the newly formed Personnel Procedures and Guidelines Ad Hoc Committee. Other committee members include two Board of Supervisors members, the Personnel Director, supporting staff from the Personnel Office, the Chief Administrator, and County Counsel.
