Financial Impact:
Charges on Certificate No. 1918 are reduced by 50% based on Tehama County’s agreement not to demand water.
Background Information:
Without the approval of the agreement the cost to maintain water rights to the County owned parcel in the Mill Creek Park area will double. Full payment without the agreement would entitle the County to receive a limited amount of irrigation water to the undeveloped parcel. If no payment is made to the Los Molinos Mutual Water Company, irrigation water rights to the parcel will be lost.
This agreement was being brought forward annually for approval. The Los Molinos Mutual Water Company stated they would not continue to send annual letters and have created this ongoing agreement.
