Financial Impact:
There is no County cost associated with this service. These services generate income to the Inmate Welfare Program.
Background Information:
This program supplies commissary services to inmates and assists jail staff with software and support services, as well as generating revenue for the Inmate Welfare Program. There are no County costs associated with this agreement. The contract was extended because of the need for ongoing inmates services and/or services at a moment's notice, and because of the knowledge and familiarity the vendor has with the Tehama County Jail Facility. We have been with this company since 2009.
The Sheriff’s Office plans to go out to bid prior to the expiration of this agreement for continued best pricing for ongoing inmate services.
