a) AGREEMENT - Request approval and authorization for the Executive Director to sign the Amendment #1 to the Employment Agreement with Brian Lair, D.O. (Misc. Agreement #2021-205), for the provision of employment for services as a Physician, thereby reducing his Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) status from 1.0 FTE to .80 FTE, as well as extending the term of the agreement until midnight of 8/17/28

Financial Impact:
Funding is approved in the Clinic Division's annual budget (40251). The salary for 8/18/24 - 8/17/25 will be $14,929.73 monthly, for 8/18/25 - 8/17/26 will be $15,288.20, and for 8/18/26-8/17/28 will be $15,532.47. Any percentage increases in salary for all classifications represented by the Joint Council Bargaining Unit would increase Dr. Lair’s compensation by an equal percentage.
Background Information:
This is an amendment to Misc. Agreement #2021-205 with Dr. Brian Lair to perform the functions of a Physician/Surgeon at the Medical Clinic, Juvenile Detention Facility, and Jail, which was approved by the Board of Supervisors on August 17, 2021. This amendment will reduce Dr. Lair’s FTE from 1.0 FTE to .80 FTE and extend the term of his employment agreement until midnight of August 17, 2028.
The Department has met with Dr. Lair and both parties have agreed to the salary and benefits and all terms and conditions contained in the agreement.
