Financial Impact:
This was a special department expense through the Tehama Major Crimes Unit (712-53280) and would be an expenditure for the FY 23-24.
Background Information:
The Tehama Major Crimes Unit (TMCU) in coordination with the FBI requested the use of a specialty cadaver canine to assist in the investigation of a 1983 cold case in the Manton area. The cost of the room was agreed upon to be covered by the TMCU, and other expenses would be covered by the FBI. Unfortunately, arrangements were not made in time and the canine handler used her own funds for the room.
