Farmer funding and associated agreements are budgeted annually by the District.
Background Information:
The Carl Moyer Memorial Air Quality Standards Attainment Program (Carl Moyer Program), Funding Agricultural Replacement Measures for Emission Reductions (FARMER) and Local AB 923 incentive programs have been highly successful for many years in reducing air pollution in Tehama County. The Carl Moyer program provides funding through air districts for agricultural harvesting equipment, heavy-duty trucks, agricultural pump engines, tractors, and other equipment used in agricultural operations. The agreement with Janda Farm will be funded by Farmer Program funds and will help replace a 2007 Kubota M9540 tractor equipped with a diesel-fired, 98.7 - horsepower engine with a 2022 John Deere 5100ML Low-Profile Specialty Tractor, equipped with a diesel-fired, 100-horsepower engine.
