Financial Impact:
This project is complete and was within the Board-authorized amount. It was paid for with a combination of existing budgeted maintenance funds and AB443 funds, which are eligible for law enforcement purposes. Total project costs came in lower than the costs estimated in the approved bid packet.
Background Information:
This project was for landscaping improvements to the front area of the Tehama County Sheriff’s Office, in order to make the office more inviting to the public and improve employee morale. Improvements included paving, hardscape, a covered gazebo, lighting, and upgrades to the flag pole. This project has utilized AB109 labor in order to reduce costs.
The Board authorized bidding of this project on May 7, 2024, and authorized the contract June 25, 2024.
