Background Information:
Chico State Enterprises was awarded the Mello-Granlund Senior Nutrition Program Infrastructure Grant by the California Department of Aging (CDA), grant # NI-2223-03, for the purpose of purchasing, upgrading, or refurbishing infrastructure for the production and distribution of congregate or home-delivered meals.
The Meals on Wheels Tehama County (senior nutrition program) was a Subrecipient of this award in the amount of $147,130. This was Misc Agreement 2023-73 approved by the Board on 3/21/23. Infrastructure grant funds were used to purchase kitchen equipment for the Tehama County Probation Department to prepare congregate and home-delivered meals for seniors. All funding was spent and the project was completed in December 2023; however, the amendment provided more time if needed.
