Background Information:
The offices of the Clerk & Recorder, Clerk of the Board and Elections currently have 3 vacancies. The Assistant Clerk & Recorder position is critical to the running of all 3 offices, especially during an election. This is one of 2 exempt positions across the 3 offices that are important for supervision and coverage to ensure good customer service. This position is critical to keeping the workflows going during an election to ensure that all deadlines are met. The offices are also beginning a fee study which was last updated in 2018, and this position would be the point person for conducting that fee study. The department has agreed to keep one position vacant until at least 9/30/24 and another until at least 12/31/24 in order to provide savings to the General Fund.
