recommendation

a)                     AGREEMENT - Request approval and authorization for Tehama County Community Action Agency ex officio Executive Director Bekkie Emery to sign Subaward Amendment A25-0006-S005-A01 (Misc. Agree. #2025-043) with Chico State Enterprises, on behalf of the Area 3 Agency on Aging for the provision of the Meals on Wheels program to amend the not to exceed dollar amount from $384,456 to $425,205, effective 7/1/24 through 6/30/25

body

Financial Impact:

Amendment #1 provides a net increase of $40,749 in grant funding that will be used for congregate and home delivered meals within FY 2024/25. These funds require a 10.53% County match, which is met through the County General Fund contribution of $35,000 ongoing, as well as through donations and fundraisers. The Community Action Agency and Social Services also provide support to Meals on Wheels. There will be no additional impact on the General Fund. A transfer of funds may be submitted later, so that budgeted expenses and revenues may be updated for this amendment.

Background Information:

This original agreement was approved by the Board on February 11, 2025 Misc 2025-043.

Meals on Wheels provides approximately 2,000 home delivered meals and 900 meals to congregate sites each month. Congregate sites are in Red Bluff and Corning.
