Background Information:
The Division of Animal Services is seeking to replace 12 cat cages in the main cat adoption room. The cages being replaced are no longer in production, and the Division is unable to acquire replacement parts needed to keep them functional. The wear and tear of constant use over the last 9 years indicates the cages are nearing or beyond their serviceable life. The new cages will be the same model currently in use by the Division in another room and have proven to be more resistant to normal wear and tear of shelter use.
