Financial Impact:
ARPA funding was planned in the fiscal year 2024/25 Adopted Budget, plus the match LATCF funding. This amendment allows more time to spend the funds. There is no impact to the General Fund.
Background Information:
Chico State Enterprises on the behalf of its Area 3 Agency on Aging (AAA) program received the Federal Pass through Award, AP-2122-03, American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds from California Department of Aging to provide services to meet the needs of California’s older adult population.
The Meals on Wheels Tehama County (senior nutrition program) was a Subrecipient of this award in the amount of $254,139. This was Misc Agreement 2022-377 approved by the Board on 12/19/2022. ARPA funds have been used to purchase hot meals, frozen meals, a vehicle purchase, and vehicle wraps for the Meals on Wheels program.
