Requested Action(s)

recommendation

a) AGREEMENT - Request approval and authorization for the Agricultural Commissioner to sign the Amendment to the Cooperative Agreement No. 24-0236-025-SF (Misc. Agree. #2024-316) with the California Department of Food & Agriculture (CDFA) for the provision of costs incurred relative to the detection of Asian Citrus Psyllid, thereby decreasing the maximum amount of the agreement from $16,976 to $8,874, effective 10/1/24 and shall terminate 6/30/25

body

Financial Impact:

There is no additional impact on the budget.

Background Information:

The department has historically entered into agreements with CDFA to perform these services.  Without an approved agreement, the department will not receive funding for performing work related to the detection of the Asian Citrus Psyllid.  Additionally, the previous not to exceed amount of $16,976 was incorrect. CDFA has requested a revision to reduce the amount to $8,874 to align with the funding allocated to the program.
