Financial Impact:
The amendment of Purchasing Agreement 370PA24 will result in an approximate $110,000 increase from a maximum compensation not to exceed amount of $40,000 to $150,000. Funds to cover the cost of this increase are included in the appropriate account.
Background Information:
This Agreement was brought forward per previous Board direction for the purpose of conducting independent, impartial and objective investigations of County employees. This request is to amend Section 3: Compensation in the Purchasing Agreement 370PA24 between the County of Tehama and Van Dermyden Makus Law Corporation.
The original Purchasing Agreement states that the maximum compensation (including expense reimbursement) payable under the Agreement shall not exceed $40,000, with all investigations to receive prior, written authorization by the County. This amendment increases this amount from $40,000 to $150,000.
It is mutually agreed that all other terms and conditions of Agreement Number 370PA24 shall remain in full force and effect.
