a) AGREEMENT- Request approval and authorization for the Chairman and Sheriff to sign the Agreement with Obsidian IT for the provision of technology support services for a monthly flat fee of $13,120.85, with maximum compensation not to exceed $157,450.20. Additionally, the County shall pay a maximum of $10,000 for computer services specifically requested that are not covered under Exhibit “B” at the hourly rate of $145.25 per hr., the maximum annual compensation payable under this Agreement is $167,450.20, effective 7/1/26 and shall terminate 6/30/27
b) AGREEMENT - Request approval and authorization for the Chairman and Sheriff to sign the Agreement with Obsidian IT for the provision of providing Microsoft 365 Licenses for a monthly flat fee of $2,121.13, with maximum compensation not to exceed $25,453.56, effective 7/1/26 and shall terminate 6/30/27

Financial Impact:
The budget appropriation will be included in the Requested Recommended Budget for FY 26-27 in the Sheriff’s Maintenance of Equipment Budget 2027-53170.
Background Information:
The Sheriff’s Office requires technological support to maintain its information technology infrastructure. Obsidian IT (formerly West Coast Technologies) has been supporting the Sheriff’s Office since April 2014. Obsidian IT provides technological support services for all workstations, servers, and networking devices under the responsibility of the Sheriff’s Office. The monthly flat fee includes essential security tools and flexITplan.
The flexITplan is a tailored managed services program developed by Obsidian Technology to meet the information technology needs of the Tehama County Sheriff's Office. The plan provides comprehensive onsite and remote management, maintenance, and technical support for the Sheriff's Office's network infrastructure, applications, and information technology equipment. In addition, Obsidian delivers continuous monitoring and cybersecurity services for critical systems and devices, along with monthly performance and security reports to help ensure the reliability, security, and operational continuity of the Sheriff's Office's technology environment.
