Financial Impact:
No financial impact is associated with the MOUs.
Background Information:
Partnership HealthPlan of California (MCP) is a Medi-Cal Managed Care plan that contracts with the state to provide Medi-Cal benefits to multiple Northern California counties. The California Department of Healthcare Services (DHCS) requires that MCP execute MOUs with network providers, such as county programs, to ensure that members receive services available through CCS, LHD, and WIC direct service programs in a coordinated manner. In addition, the MOUs provide a process to continuously evaluate the quality-of-care coordination provided and ensures any data exchanged including Protected Health Information (PHI) or Personally Identifiable Information (PII) complies with all federal and state statutes and regulations.
