Financial Impact:
The funds for this position are in the FY 2025-26 Budget Unit 40131, and the salary for this position at Range 39, Step B, is $35.27/hr. There is no impact to the General Fund.
Background Information:
Candidate has a Master’s degree in Social Work and a wide range of experience in specialty mental health settings and social services working as a Social Worker for over eight years. The candidate also has nearly three years of experience as a registered Associate Social Worker clinician and has gained in depth knowledge and experience providing behavioral health services including higher needs youth. She is less than 200 hours from being eligible to take the Board of Behavioral Sciences Licensure Exam that would make her a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
If the requested action is not approved, the County will lose the opportunity to hire a qualified applicant in this position.
The Personnel Office has reviewed the Other than A Step request and is in agreement with Range 39, Step B, appointment effective upon completion of all pre-employment requirements.
