Financial Impact:

FARMER funding and associated agreements are budgeted annually by the District.

Background Information:

The Carl Moyer Memorial Air Quality Standards Attainment Program (Carl Moyer Program), Funding Agricultural Replacement Measures for Emission Reductions (FARMER) and Local AB 923 incentive programs have been highly successful for many years in reducing air pollution in Tehama County. The FARMER program provides funding through air districts for agricultural harvesting equipment, heavy-duty trucks, agricultural pump engines, tractors, and other equipment used in agricultural operations. The agreement with Arrow Farms will be funded by FARMER Program funds and will help replace a 1973 Cummins NTC 350, 350-horsepower diesel-fired agricultural irrigation engine with a New John Deere 6090CI550, 325-horsepower diesel-fired agricultural engine.
