Background Information:

The Division of Animal Services’ yard areas are enclosed with chain-link fencing.  The furthest northern section of fence was partially supported by two large metal storage containers.  Those storage containers were recently replaced, and the old section of chain-link fence is being replaced and expanded to include a small section of the yard beyond the previous fence line.  The old fence has been patched multiple times after several break-ins and was no longer able to be safely repaired.  The new fencing is necessary as a safety precaution to keep animals safe and contained to the shelter property, as well as keeping the public from wandering into non-public areas.
