a) AGREEMENT - Request approval and authorization for the Executive Director to sign Amendment No. 1 with Aurora Behavioral Healthcare-Santa Rosa, LLC, a California limited liability company dba Aurora Santa Rosa Hospital (Misc. Agree. #2024-367) for the purpose of providing Psychiatric Inpatient Services, thereby amending the total maximum compensation not to exceed $500,000 in any one fiscal year, effective 7/1/24 through 6/30/26

Financial Impact:
This Amendment No. 1 increases the maximum compensation amount by $200,000 per fiscal year. Costs will be paid using budgeted Mental Health realignment funds allocated for medically necessary services and/or Mental Health Services Act funds. There is no impact on the General Fund.
Background Information:
This is Amendment No.1 to the Misc. Agreement #2024-367, which was approved by the Board of Supervisors on 12/10/24. The Department has calculated that there has been increased need for the vendor’s services. This amendment will increase the allowable compensation amount by $200,000 to each fiscal year’s budget to ensure required services are covered.
The vendor provides medically necessary psychiatric hospitalization for Tehama County residents. This contract provides Tehama County with an additional resource for clients in psychiatric crisis. All services are provided with prior written authorization from Tehama County.
