Background Information:
The Tehama County Air Pollution Control District (District) administers multiple programs designed to reduce air pollution by incentivizing the purchase or retrofit of cleaner heavy-duty engines, including the Carl Moyer Low-Emission Equipment Incentive Program, the Funding Agricultural Replacement Measures for Emission Reductions (FARMER) program, and the local AB 923 program. Under this Agreement, the District will provide up to $11,625.00 to Bianchi Orchards to replace an older, higher-emission 2016 John Deere Gator TX 4x2 equipped with a 15.5 horsepower gasoline engine with a new zero-emission John Deere Gator TE UTV equipped with a battery electric motor.
These incentive programs help local equipment owners modernize their equipment while also improving air quality in Tehama County.
