body
Financial Impact:
The maximum compensation under the Agreement is $25,000 annually. Costs for services will be paid by the County Department requiring the background screening or investigative services. The fiscal impact to the General Fund will vary depending on the requesting County Department.
Background Information:
The proposed Agreement with Employers Investigative Services (EIS) provides personnel-related investigative and pre-employment background screening services for the Tehama County Personnel Office. Services may include employment and education verification, criminal and civil history searches, motor vehicle record checks, identity verification, reference interviews, drug testing coordination, and other employment-related searches requested by the County.
The Agreement has a three-year term and provides for compensation in accordance with the attached pricing schedule, with total compensation not to exceed $25,000 annually.
The Agreement generally follows the County's standard services agreement; however, Sections 6 and 7 were revised at the Contractor's request. Section 6 provides an opportunity to cure certain performance deficiencies prior to termination and clarifies payment for work in progress and eligible third-party costs incurred prior to termination. Section 7 incorporates EIS's Background Screening Services Agreement and Client Agreement and establishes an order of precedence between the County Agreement and the incorporated documents.
