Background Information:

The Personnel Office is requesting Board of Supervisor approval to sign the side letter of agreement to the memorandum of understanding between Tehama County and the Tehama County Deputy Sheriff’s Association. The side letter of agreement clarifies Deputy Sheriff’s and Correctional Deputies assigned to work out of class as an Officer-in-Charge in the absence of a Sergeant will be eligible to receive special pay in the amount of an additional 5% above the employee’s current base wage (hourly rate) on an hour-for-hour basis. 

 

The County and the Union have met and conferred on the proposed changes and an agreement has been reached.  If the Board of Supervisors does not approve this action, the labor relations process will be considered incomplete.
