Financial Impact:

Fiscal Year 25/26 Citizen’s Option for Public Safety Funding is available as follows: DA Criminal Prosecution, $18,091: Jail Operations, $18,091; Sheriff Front Line / City of Tehama, $100,000; City of Corning, $100,000; City of Red Bluff, $100,000. Prior-year balance and interest brought forward are not included in the forgoing sum.

 

Background Information:

The Department of Finance for FY 25/26 allocated $436,182 in Citizens Option for Public Safety (COPS) and Juvenile Justice Crime Prevention Act (JJCPA) funds. This allocation is based on a percentage outlined in Government Code section 30029.05 and 30061.
