This would be a receivable for the Tehama County Health Services Agency in the total amount of $485,096, funded by the California Department of Public Health, California Sexually Transmitted Disease Branch for DIS workforce development.
Background Information:
Funding for this program assists the Tehama County Health Services Agency (TCHSA), Public Health Division, to develop, expand, train, and sustain the DIS workforce at a local level. Funding is intended to scale prevention, increase capacity to conduct disease investigation, ensure appropriate treatment, link people to care and ongoing case management, monitor disease trends and rapidly respond to changes in disease trends and outbreaks of STI’s, HIV, Hepatitis C virus and mpox. Developing the DIS workforce will expand and enhance the capabilities of frontline public health staff and will also improve recruitment, training, and outbreak response efforts. If this request is not granted, Tehama County Health Services Agency will be unable to utilize these funds to develop the DIS workforce.
