Financial Impact:
Funds have been budgeted in General Services1073-53170 for FY 26/27. Proposals are based and the number of users for any given month so a cushion has been added to the maximum not-to-exceed amounts to accommodate any upward fluctuation.
Background Information:
Apex Technology Management provides managed IT support services for County departments, including unlimited remote technical support for servers, workstations, and network infrastructure, Microsoft 365 cloud backup, on-site and cloud backup for critical server data, security awareness training, and multi-factor authentication services. These services support the daily technology operations and cybersecurity needs of the Administration, Board of Supervisors, County Counsel, Personnel, Planning, Building, Assessor, District Attorney, Auditor-Controller, Veteran Services, Treasurer-Tax Collector, Elections, Environmental Health, Facilities, and Clerk and Recorder departments.
The Agreement also incorporates updated County-developed Software-as-a-Service, Support Services, and Backup Services Terms and Conditions that establish enhanced requirements for data ownership, encryption, access controls, incident reporting, and protection of County information systems and data. Approval of this Agreement will ensure the continued delivery of these essential information technology and cybersecurity services for the period of July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027.
