body

Financial Impact:

FARMER funding and associated agreements are budgeted annually by the District.

Background Information:

The Tehama County Air Pollution Control District (District) administers multiple programs designed to reduce air pollution by incentivizing the purchase or retrofit of cleaner heavy-duty engines, including the Carl Moyer Low-Emission Equipment Incentive Program, the Funding Agricultural Replacement Measures for Emission Reductions (FARMER) program, and the local AB 923 program. Under this Agreement, the District will provide funding to Curiel Farms to replace an older, higher-emission 2008 New Holland T4030F tractor with a new, lower-emission John Deere tractor.

These incentive programs help local equipment owners modernize their equipment while also improving air quality in Tehama County. The Agreement outlines requirements and timelines for project completion, reporting, and the continued operation of the new equipment to ensure the emissions reduction benefits are achieved and maintained.
