a) BID WAIVER - Request to adopt the finding that NASPO 23011 Value Point contract with Southern Computer Warehouse (SCW) for the acquisition of 279 HP LED computer monitors meets all Tehama County bidding criteria and allows the County to take advantage of low pricing without the time and expense of a formal bid process

1) Request to find it in the best interest of the County to waive the formal bid process for purchase of 100 Lenovo laptops, 137 Lenovo smart docks, and 61 Lenovo desktop computers. Based on the finding

Financial Impact:
The Department requested quotes from existing vendors with quote amount ranges from $310,471.74 to $330,290.53. The Department requests to select the lowest quote with SCW for all items for a total cost of $310,471.74. There are sufficient funds budgeted in account number 5013-53800 and there is no impact to the General Fund.

Background Information:
The Department has a significant existing technology research and development invest in the existing deployment of Lenovo computer brands and specific testing of Lenovo laptop models. An Imaging process is an integral aspect of deployment and standardization in support of desktops and laptop device categories. Ongoing efforts of imaging the same makes / models are crucial to the effectiveness and efficiency of compatibility testing and support functions within the organization.
