Financial Impact:
There is no anticipated financial impact, as Mr. Moss’s salary will remain unchanged. When applicable, payment of sick leave will be deducted from previously accrued sick leave balances.
Background Information:
On July 2, 2024, the Board of Supervisors approved an Employment Agreement with Thomas Moss as Agriculture Commissioner / Sealer of Weights & Measures (Misc. Agree. #2024-222). The requested action seeks approval to amend the Agreement by including language regarding the use of existing sick leave accruals and the payment of sick leave upon retirement. These provisions, which are standard in all department head contracts, were inadvertently omitted from the original Agreement.
All other terms and conditions of Misc. Agreement No. 2024-222 shall remain in full force and effect.
