Financial Impact:
Due to the 2.99% CA Minimum Wage Increase January 1, 2027, the cost for services is increasing from $1,187 per month to $1222.49 per month. The Department of Child Support Services has budgeted for this expense within the FY 26/27 budget calculations, account 5015-53140. The Department of Child Support Services is a state and federally funded program, as such this expenditure will have no effect on the General Fund.
Background Information:
Peerless Janitorial has provided custodial services for Child Support Services for more than 15 years and the Department has been happy with the services provided. Their staff have been trained in mandated information safeguarding training as per state policy.
The Joint Council Bargaining Unit has been advised of this Agreement by the County in accordance with AB 339, and an agreement has been reached.
